We had a guide that took us through the exhibits--I was surprised that they let us take photos.  This picture shows a recreation of a Viking dress.This stone is a Celtish pict stone-found along a roadway showing directions.  Sweden has an interesting program to help preserve items of historical interest such as these. Not bad considering it was probably 115 at home, but it was also about 60% humidity, which made it miserable.  Forutnately, our bus had AC.  The people who took the train in were hot and it was crowded.  We started our visit with (what else?) but a trip to a yarn shop!  It was about a 10 minute cab ride from where the bus dropped us off. It was a hot day, they didn't turn the air on in the plane during boarding.  I had plenty of sock yarn available for the flight, books ready for prolonged listening on my ipod, and my sock monkey, who attends all knitting-related trips as this one. So we send them all home to their parents  who are looking forward to spending time with their kids. It is knitted out of Encore Colorspun worsted weight, I really like how it worked up.  For some reason it went much faster than the one I did for Jackson out of STR heavy weight.  The Colorspun has long color repeats and you keep going because you can't wait to see what happens next.  I threw in some blue whenever, where ever. Being born is a hard job for all involved, especially when you have to be in the hospital for 10 days prior to the actual birth.   They are both exhausted.  Addison is in the NICU, Aimee still is in the hospital.  In some respects it makes it easier for her to be that close for feeding purposes, but it is so hard to rest there. It is really pretty--the photo is a little dark but you can still see the waves.  Very nice Louisa!Do you know about the craziness of socks?  It is an extremely addictive type of knitting.  Fits into your purse.  Done on crazy little needles, 0, 1, or 2.  Anywhere from 14,000 to 18,000 stitches per pair.
